JOSIE
Hi! I’m really happy to be working for my sixth summer at Anakkara Summer Camp with the NDG Academy of Music. I volunteered in 2020 and 2021 and worked full-time in 2022. I was park coordinator last year and have always enjoyed leading the “Silent Scream” with the kids…. I love hiking, baking, reading, and I really enjoy playing and creating with children.

GWENNA
I have been playing flute for 14 years, and bass guitar for 7 years, but I have also taken lessons in clarinet, saxophone, trombone, ukulele, and guitar. I graduated from McGill University with a major in Flute Performance, and a minor in music education. I have a Masters of music at McGill, and I am planning on getting my PhD in flute performance with the hope of being a flute professor. I love teaching music and am always looking to help people of all ages start their love for music. In my free time, I love to scuba dive and swim, I love being in the water!

EMMY
Hi! My name is Emmy, and I am so excited to be joining the team at Anakkara Summer Camp with the NDG Academy of Music where I will be the Music Coordinator and a general counselor. I am going into my last year at Concordia University in Child Studies with a dual concentration in Early Childhood Settings and Exceptionality and Diversity. I currently run the children‘s program at Chabad NDG, and I have a lot of experience working with children in different settings. I have been playing guitar for 17 years and singing since before I could talk. I am a regular performer at Porchfest NDG and at other events. I can’t wait to teach music and guitar and to have fun with everyone at camp!
