My name is Léo and I am very happy to have the chance to give music lessons at Anakkara camp. I am currently a classical singing student at Cégep Saint-Laurent and I had the chance to be part of the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal. I am energetic, motivated, passionate and I love opera, cycling and helping people around me. This is my first year at camp but I have worked with children in the past and am confident that I will be able to share my love of music with the campers.

MAGGIE

MAGGIE

Counselor

My name is Maggie, and I was born and raised in Montreal. My mother is an artist so I grew up drawing, painting, and expressing my creativity in many other unique ways. Now I am in Advanced Placement Visual Arts at Westmount High School, where I am a secondary 3 student. I love working with children, so I volunteered at Camp Anakkara last summer. I cherished the time I spent with all of the children and so I am ecstatic to be returning this year. I really value mindfulness and kindness. In my free time I read whatever I can get my hands on, and I enjoy walking my dog.

GWENNA

Counselor

Hi! I just graduated from McGill University with a major in Flute Performance, and a minor in music education. I have been playing flute for 14 years, and bass guitar for 7 years, but I have also taken lessons in clarinet, saxophone, trombone, ukulele, and guitar. I am excited to continue my masters of music at McGill in the fall, and I am planning on getting my PhD in flute performance with the hope of being a flute professor. I love teaching music and am always looking to help people of all ages start their love for music. In my free time, I love to scuba dive and swim, I love being in the water!
